How Dream Collide Began

Here's the story of how Dream Collide was born!

It was the summer of 2018 and I was 9 years old. My family had just moved from Canada to Utah and the only friends I knew were my cousins.

I had always loved doing creative things but this summer, I really wanted to bring my ideas off the blueprint and into reality!

I became particularly interested in creating treats and I liked experimenting with different ingredients and coming up with my own creations!

I loved the idea of having my own shop where I could sell my creations and I came up with the name, "Dream Co." but after some thought, we realized the name sounded a bit like the name of a mattress or pajama company!

I started to search for a word that the "Co" could represent. I narrowed it down to Comet or Collide. I liked collide because my company is specifically created so that it's not just treats or games- it's all of the things I enjoy, put together- a place where all my dreams collide!

That summer, some of my cousins and I created a little treat shop inside our house and had a grand opening for our family members, complete with a ribbon cutting!

Well my family only lived in Utah for about a year and now we're back in Canada! I still love to think of new products to make and business ideas. When the pandemic happened and we started learning at home, I had more time on my hands and it seemed like the perfect time to try putting some of these ideas into action!

I'm so excited to be creating this website with my mom and getting the chance to learn and grow and finally get some business experience. I do miss my cousins in Utah and wish they could be a part of Dream Collide today, but who knows- maybe someday in the future!
